THE coronavirus vaccine being developed by Oxford University does not prevent monkeys from developing the illness, tests have shown – delivering a body blow the Government’s hopes of rolling out 30 million doses by September.
“There was no difference in the amount of viral RNA detected from this site in the vaccinated monkeys as compared to the unvaccinated animals.
“Which is to say, all vaccinated animals were infected.”
